Sisters in pigtails!
I'll have more stories to post soon. I'm so busy with my dissertation right now, but I'm almost to the end. For now, here are the girlies in their pigtails :)
It looks like Blogger cut Annabelle in half. If you click on the picture, you can see the whole thing.

Pa-si-so
I took this video to record my favorite Annabelle word of the moment. It's also a good example of her personality--cute and happy until she loses interest, and then it's "Go away!"

Bluebonnets!
We went for our annual frolic in the bluebonnets last weekend and got some fun pictures. It's hard to get Annabelle to sit down and smile for us, but we did the best we could. They spent most of the afternoon running circles around trees. We had to stop Annabelle from picking up ants, until one bit her and she got the idea. After that, she just pointed and yelled at them, "Go away bug!"

Sorry I've been away so long!
I know that there are a couple of great-grandparents who look forward to these posts, but we've just been so wrapped up in our busy lives lately that I haven't had the time. Not to mention the FIVE trips to the pediatrician we've made over the past couple of weeks. Also contributing to the problem, both girls love the computer so when I sit down to do something like this, they try to climb in my lap and take over. I'm not going to try to update everything that's happened in the past two months, so I'll just let you know that everyone is healthy now and generally up to their old tricks. I'll try to give some more detailed updates on each of the girls this week.
For now, here's a new picture because I know that's your favorite part:
A couple of weeks ago I bought Rebekah her own cookbook, and she made dinner for us. She made potato skins, and they were really tasty! I did help her, of course, but you would be surprised how much she could do on her own--pretty much everything that didn't involve a sharp knife. When I was shopping for her cookbook, I found a used copy of a Little House on the Prairie cookbook for 49 cents, and I bought it so Annabelle could have her own cookbook, too. We have already baked Laura's maple cakes, which you might remember if you read the Little House books as a child. Now we are planning our Valentine's Day meal, and Rebekah has already picked out a cookie recipe from her book.
